Ferry Crossing Romania - Bulgaria (Zimnicea – Svishtov)
The town of Zimnicea is an important Danube port and a strategic area for developing trade links with Bulgaria and countries bordering the higher reaches of the Danube.
With private investment from the InterAgro Group and with the assistance of public funding, Interagro have commissioned one of the highest volume ferry crossings on the Danube with a total surface of 600 m² and a 12 TIR capacity, 40 cars / 250 foot passengers.
The ferry was inaugurated on the 27th June 2010, in the presence of both Romanian and Bulgarian officials and will significantly contribute to the flow of trade into both Romania and Bulgaria and the wider EU community.
